Supermetrics Alternatives: 6 Options Compared
Supermetrics alternatives compared: Funnel.io, Coupler.io, Windsor.ai, Improvado and Fivetran on published price and fit — plus the option none of them ship.
Most people shopping for Supermetrics alternatives end up buying the same product at a different price. Supermetrics is a connector — it moves marketing data from platform APIs into a destination you own. Almost every tool positioned against it is also a connector, so switching changes your invoice and your sync schedule and very little else.
That is worth knowing before you compare feature grids. Below are the five alternatives buyers actually put on the shortlist, with published prices, followed by the one option that does a different job entirely.
Why this matters
Two vendors defended this term in the same week. Funnel updated its supermetrics-alternatives post on 7 September 2026 — originally published 16 January, so a defence, not a launch — and Supermetrics updated its own Fivetran comparison on 8 September.
The confusion is structural. Funnel's roundup lists eight alternatives: Funnel, Adverity, Fivetran, TapClicks, Improvado, Whatagraph, Windsor.ai and Airbyte. Every one is a pipeline, a warehouse tool, or a dashboard builder. None tells you what to do with your ad account on Monday. That is not an oversight — it is the shape of the category.
Funnel is blunt about where Supermetrics strains:
"But that setup can crack under the pressure as you add more brands and campaigns. As more data flows, dashboards get heavy and slow, and you run into API limits or brittle formulas that are hard to maintain across clients." — Brian León, Supermetrics alternatives, Funnel
Accurate. Also a vendor arguing that the fix for a heavy dashboard is a heavier one.
What Supermetrics actually is
Supermetrics describes itself as a marketing intelligence platform that unifies data collection from 170-plus marketing and sales sources, per its Fivetran comparison page. In practice most buyers use one slice of that: pull Meta and Google numbers into Sheets or Looker Studio on a schedule.
Published pricing is Starter at $55/mo monthly or $44/mo billed yearly, Growth at $222/mo monthly or $177/mo yearly, and custom Enterprise, with a 14-day free trial on both paid tiers. Starter is one user, three data sources, three accounts per source and one core destination. Growth is two users and six sources.
Hold that Starter spec in mind. It is the reason half the alternatives below look cheaper than they are.
The five alternatives buyers actually compare
| Tool | What it actually is | Published entry price | Real fit | |---|---|---|---| | Supermetrics | Connector into Sheets, Looker Studio, warehouse | $55/mo Starter · $222/mo Growth | Multi-channel teams who already own a destination | | Coupler.io | Connector plus prebuilt dashboard templates | Free tier · $32/mo Starter · $132/mo Active | Small teams who want the report shell included | | Windsor.ai | Connector, aggressively priced by source count | $23/mo Basic · $118/mo Standard | Cost-driven swaps where source count is low | | Funnel.io | Governed data hub that stores and models data | From $300/mo Starter, billed annually | Agencies and teams normalising many channels | | Improvado | Enterprise hub, now sold MCP-first | Free Limited · $100/mo MCP Only | Large orgs wiring marketing data into AI agents | | Fivetran | Warehouse ETL for data engineers | Usage-based on Monthly Active Rows · free to 500K MAR | Teams with a warehouse and someone to run it |
Coupler.io
The closest like-for-like swap, and the one showing up most in live comparison searches. Published pricing runs Free, Starter at $32/mo, Active at $132/mo and Pro at $259/mo, with 25% off annually. The Free plan is genuinely limited — one account, manual refresh, 100 rows per run — but Starter at $32 undercuts Supermetrics Starter by $23 and includes daily refresh and 5,000 rows per run.
The real difference is that Coupler ships dashboard templates rather than leaving you to build the view. Note the seat math, though: Starter is one user, same as Supermetrics, and unlimited users starts at Active ($132/mo).
Windsor.ai
The cheapest credible option on the board. Basic is $23/mo for three data sources, Standard is $118/mo for seven, Plus is $299/mo, Professional is $598/mo. All plans carry 350-plus sources and read-write functions, with a 30-day trial that drops to a one-source free tier.
Windsor competes on price per source, which works if your source count is stable and small. It does not change the job — you are still receiving rows.
Funnel.io
The upmarket move, not the sideways one. Starter is from $300/mo billed annually with 117 connectors and 13 export destinations; Business is from $600/mo with 579 connectors, 46 destinations and unlimited users. Funnel stores and models data in the hub itself rather than pushing it somewhere you govern.
The entry gap against Supermetrics is roughly 6x, and it only pays back at real channel breadth. We ran that decision in full in Funnel.io vs Supermetrics — if those two are your shortlist, start there rather than here.
Improvado
Repriced around AI access. Free Limited is $0/mo with 50 MCP actions per week; MCP Only is $100/mo with 2M rows/year and 300 MCP actions per week; Advanced and Enterprise are custom. A marketing data platform that has decided the interesting output is an agent call, not a dashboard.
Worth watching, but MCP access is plumbing for analysis, not analysis. Something on the other end still has to know what a frequency of 4.1 means for a prospecting ad set.
Fivetran
A different category wearing the same label. Pricing is usage-based on Monthly Active Rows, free to 500,000 MAR, with no published price on Standard or above.
Fivetran is for teams with a warehouse, a transformation layer and an engineer. If that describes you, Supermetrics was never the right comparison. If it does not, the free tier is a trap — you hit the staffing wall long before the row cap.
The option none of them ship
The pattern across all six: every one ends by handing you data. The cheap ones hand you fewer rows, the expensive ones hand you governed rows, Improvado hands them to an agent. Not one ends by telling you what to change in your ad account.
For a Meta-only advertiser that is the entire problem. Data availability stopped being the bottleneck years ago. Deciding what to do on Monday morning is the bottleneck, and no connector here touches it.
Good Morning is the other shape: an actionable Meta Ads dashboard that tells you exactly what to do. Zero analysis required. The account is read every week, the findings are pre-diagnosed, and the output is an urgency-tiered action list — Act today, This week, Monitor — rather than a dataset you still have to interrogate. It is $199/mo per ad account, read-only Meta access, and it is Meta-only on purpose. See how it compares to Supermetrics directly.
A Monday, two ways
Say frequency on your best prospecting ad set has climbed to 4.1 over nine days while CPA drifted from $38 to $52, and two of your five active creatives are carrying 70% of delivery.
With any connector on this list: the rows arrive on schedule. The frequency column is populated. Somebody opens the sheet or the Looker Studio view, notices the drift if they are looking at the right breakdown, checks whether nine days is long enough to act on, and decides. That person is usually the one who bought the connector so they would not have to do this.
With a pre-diagnosed action list: the fatigue call is already made, the ad set is named, the frequency figure is attached, and it sits in the Act today tier. You execute. There is nothing to interpret because the interpretation is the deliverable.
Same Meta API underneath. The difference is who did the thinking.
How to pick, in three questions
- How many channels are you normalising? One channel means a hub is overkill. Six or more means Funnel's normalisation starts earning its price.
- Who consumes the output, and do they build views? An analyst who lives in Looker Studio: buy the cheapest connector that meets your source count. The person running the ads, on Monday: a connector will not finish the job.
- Is the complaint price or effort? Price complaints are solved by Windsor.ai or Coupler.io. Effort complaints are not solved anywhere in this category, because the effort happens after the data lands.
Common mistakes shopping Supermetrics alternatives
- Comparing headline tiers instead of workable tiers. $23 against $55 against $300 is not the real spread. Once you need two seats and six sources, Supermetrics Growth at $222 is the number, and most of the cheap options move up with you.
- Ignoring the seat cap. Supermetrics Starter and Coupler.io Starter are both single-user. If two people touch the reports, neither entry price ever applied to you.
- Buying breadth you do not have. Funnel's value is a function of channel count. At one channel it is close to zero and you are paying for governance you will never query.
- Assuming a connector produces a report. It produces a table. Somebody still builds the view — usually the person who wanted the report.
- Switching to fix a problem the category does not have a fix for. If your real complaint is that nobody reads the dashboard, moving from one connector to a cheaper connector changes nothing. That is the case for an action list instead of another dashboard.
FAQ
What is the cheapest Supermetrics alternative? Windsor.ai Basic at $23/mo for three data sources, or Coupler.io Starter at $32/mo. Both undercut Supermetrics Starter at $55/mo, and both carry the same single-user limit at the entry tier.
Is Coupler.io a real Supermetrics replacement? For most Sheets and Looker Studio workflows, yes. It ships dashboard templates rather than raw tables. Unlimited users start at Active ($132/mo), which is where the honest comparison against Supermetrics Growth sits.
Do any Supermetrics alternatives tell me what to do with my Meta Ads? No connector does, including Supermetrics. Funnel's own alternatives list is entirely data movement and visualisation. Closing that gap is a different product category — the argument in Funnel.io alternatives.
Should I move up to Funnel.io instead of sideways? Only if channel count justifies it. Funnel Starter is from $300/mo billed annually against Supermetrics Starter at $55/mo. Full version of that decision: our Funnel.io comparison.
I only run Meta. What should I buy? Probably no connector at all, unless you are feeding a warehouse. Every tool here is priced for breadth a Meta-only account does not have. You are better served by Meta Ads reporting software that produces the decision rather than the dataset.
The one-line takeaway
Every Supermetrics alternative on the shortlist is a cheaper, pricier or more governed way to receive the same rows — so if the rows were never the problem, compare Good Morning against Supermetrics instead, where the output is an action list rather than a table.
